.
Last year, at Shabbington Steam Rally,
I was fascinated to watch this display by,
not a 'Sheep Dog' but a
'Duck Dog'!
.
.
Well, this weekend,
Wesley thought he would try his paw at
rounding a few up.
.
.
I kept a eye on him, but he never goes after
anything these days.
Just investigating.
After all, it is his patch.
.
.
When I called him, he just turned round
and ambled back.
Meanwhile, Hazel said she was fed up with being a Wallflower,
and decided she would rather
be planted up as a Marigold.
.
.
"Does my bum look too big in this?"
.
.
Never a dull moment with these two.
PS. Hazel says "Happy Birthday" to Barbara.
.

AAAHHH, AREN'T THEY LOVELY? Hazels face is a picture!
ReplyDeleteI bet if they had turned round on waddled towards him he would have soon run off.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!! i have never seen a lovelier "flower" then Hazel in a pot!!..and no better "round-up"cat then Wesley...the ducks just have to take him seriously..after all...one has to defend your "land" right?! what a great pictures!!
ReplyDeletegroetjes Francien.
Perhaps Hazel's thinking, If I ignore him maybe he'll go away... The tail draped over the edge of the container is so artistic!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! At first I wondered if you had caught Hazel in a 'private' moment, doing some business in that pot. Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteIt would seem that being owned by a cat means never a dull moment. I'm intrigued by the giant ha'penny.
ReplyDeleteWhy were the ducks on your lawn? I never get ducks on my lawn. Your place must have a comfortable, welcoming aura.
ReplyDeleteThe Hazel flower looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLet me thank you all for dropping in and leaving lovely comments. I have noticed that cat pictures do seem very popular. I love watching animals and it is usually the case that the best shots go unrecorded as I never seem to have my camera ready. Yesterday morning on my early morning walk (6:30am) I saw a Heron, Green Parakeets and a pair of quail.
ReplyDeleteThis morning I took my camera with me and not a ’Dickybird’!
As I am not far from the River T. here, there are always a few ducks somewhere. I even saw one this morning sitting right up on the roof of someones house. Obviously he thought he was a pigeon. We have on occasions had ducks bring up their broods a fair way from the waters edge. The mother then sets off down the road followed by her new family - down through the shops and across the main road, and with luck, back to the River T.
I bought the ‘halfpenny’ from a local garden centre. They were sold as ‘garden slabs’ or ‘stepping stones’. I have a Farthing as well just out of view.
I have just finished the thirteen new pipes and will post up a pic when I get a minute.
Thanks again everyone.
Cheers……Bernard.
Fab pictures Unc, yes we all like the cat pics I think.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks very lush and lovely.
