A mighty musical knees-up at Kipper's today!
Every instrument in my collection had to be tried out.
Drums were banged, trumpets were trumped, harps were harped and of course the poor old organ was ground into the carpet!
A great time was had by all.....except my two cats who weren't seen all afternoon and didn't return until all had gone home and the call of food beckoned.
So a special vote of thanks go to Freddie, Catriona, Pollyanne, Evelyn and Alice for an "Entertaining Musical Extravaganza".
You can always count on kids to make some joyful noise. What fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was all the more exciting for them, since I have a large number of 'noisy' instruments. Banjo, guitar, mandolin, recorders, concertina, accordions, drums and a collection of old bells.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, simply turning the organ handle produces tuneful music.
It looks and sounds like Hell on earth.I love music and instruments. I meant the kids.
ReplyDeleteI too have guitar, banjo, descant recorder and a small set of wrist bells. Have violin and clarinet, swannee whistle and kazoo too. Oh, and a piano. That's along with the autoharp.
Is your banjo 4 or 5 string? Mine is 5.
Would love to have a hurdy-gurdy and some bigger recorders.

Started life on the violin and still on the fiddle today!
No swannee or clarinet.....but do have a piccolo.
